Stars Of Africa Football Academy director and football pundit Farouk Khan is against the selection of the country's top players for the friendly match against Andorra.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has selected a strong national squad for the two friendly matches against Andorra and Algeria.

Khan believes Broos has passed on a perfect opportunity to rest the players who took part in the recently concluded Africa Cup Of Nations and a chance to blood in youngsters like Orlando Pirates' Relebohile Mofokeng in the Bafana Bafana team.

"Andorra is not a team that has won anything in like forever," Khan tells KickOff.

"They have never really won anything, they are a team with the lowest win rate ever.

"It was a good opportunity for us to blood in our young players, to give them a chance and taste of international football.

"I don't think we should be calling some of our senior players, this is an opportunity to blood in some of our youngsters.

"Ronwen Williams he's done so well during the AFCON he needs a break, you can't play him against Andorra.

"Andorra, who is Andorra? Andorra they are a very, very weak nation when it comes to football.

"If you look at their history you will be surprised how weak they are.

"I think playing against one of our very own PSL teams could have given us a better competition than Andorra.

"I think we should use this opportunity to give all these younger players a chance in the national team. It could have been wonderful.

"I don't know what he is thinking [Hugo Broos] because all around the world when they play smaller countries they use their second, third choice squads, and I have seen this happening many times.

"Because it's the only chance for the younger players to show what they are capable of.

"Such games are a good motivation for the younger players to show a national team coach what they are made of.

"It's also a good opportunity to use our players who might be playing in the Olympics because remember those players also need to be given proper preparation.

"The link between the Olympic team and the senior national team should be very close."
