A Manchester United legend has reignited his war of words with Erling Haaland, this time labelling him a "spoiled brat".

The Norwegian netted four times during Manchester City's 5-1 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, before being taken off in the second half.

After being summoned off the field, the attacker seemed to be dismayed with the decision made by his manager Pep Guardiola.

Former Red Devil captain Roy Keane, speaking on a Sky Sports broadcast of the match, did not approve of the 23-year-old's reaction to the coach's action.

"We saw Haaland yesterday being brought off, not too happy, [he was] behaving like a spoiled brat," the 52-year-old said.

"I think when you have the spat as well with the manager and obviously your star man, it doesn't help that results aren't going your way. But because they win the game, he scores goals, it's almost forgotten about."

Keane's comments comes after he described Haaland's general play as "poor" earlier this year, comparing it to that of an EFL League Two striker.

Guardiola, however, explained after the match that he understood the forward's frustration, and revealed why he had been feeling that way.

"He's a little bit frustrated, but I understand. He was frustrated with the referee [Craig Pawson]. With the long balls, sometimes they push him and he is pulled. Happy for his performance and his exceptional goals, really pleased for him," the City manager said, per The Guardian
