Tanzanian giants Simba SC are reported to have put a price tag of R2 million for the services of Willy Onana after reportedly being a wanted man in South Africa.

Onana is on the wanted list of SuperSport United, and the Tshwane giants are reported to have already started to make arrangements to bring the 23-year-old midfielder to the PSL next season.

Onana joined Simba from Cameroonian side Rayon Sports in 2021 and quickly established himself as one of the key players for the Tanzanian giants.

If signed by Matsatsantsa a Pitori, he is going to be among other Cameroonian players, including Eyong Enoh, Luc Zoa, Roger Feutmba and Patrick Tignyemb, to have plied their trade in South Africa.

According to sources in Tanzania, Simba SC have already started preparing for life without the services of Onana next season.

“Negotiations have already started between the player and SuperSport United. Simba is keen to release the player, but with a prize.

"Once the clubs reach an agreement, an announcement will be made before the end of the season,” said one source.

Gavin Hunt's men currently occupy seventh place in the DStv Premiership standing and will miss the chance to participate in a CAF competition next season after having appeared in the CAF Confederations this season, where they bowed out in the group stage.
