After Cape Town Spurs suffered two consecutive relegation misfortunes, newly-promoted Betway Premiership side Durban City's chairman Farouk Kadodia has revealed plans to stay afloat.
Spurs were promoted back to the top-flight in 2023/24 but seemed to have made the mistake of not going into the market, remaining with relatively the same squad.

Not digging into the pockets to beef up became costly for the side, whose younger players could not make the grade, and they were eventually relegated again after finishing bottom of the standings, seven points short of at least contesting the play-offs.
City - previously known as Maritzburg United - are wary of making the same mistake, after their promotion was confirmed belatedly, following a protest by two teams (JDR Stars and Spurs), which took weeks to be resolved.
Speaking to KickOff.com after the protest surrounding Saziso Magawana being allegedly not properly registered was dismissed with costs by the SAFA Arbitration, Kadodia confirmed he will be looking to strengthen his squad.
"Yes, I was in NFD, I have to get to PSL level now, you know. I have not planned yet, but I'm looking to sign probably 10 players."
