With South African football still in awe, Orlando Pirates are poised to announce the promotion of another youngster from their DStv Diski Challenge team.
Pirates have promoted several youngsters from their reserve side, including Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Sbusiso Tau, Simphiwe Selepe, and captain Cemran Dansin, the latter making his senior team debut during last week’s Betway Premiership match against Golden Arrows

Neo Mokoena seems to be next in line.
Playing as a winger, he has been one of the outstanding players in the DDC this past season and, according to sources close to the Mighty Buccaneers, the youngster will officially join the senior team during pre-season training.
“Neo Mokoena has been promoted to the senior team. He is going to be part of the new signings to be confirmed by Pirates during the off-season,” revealed one source.

The Soweto giants are believed to have already signed midfielder Masidi Nemtajela from Marumo Gallants to bolster their squad for what promises to be a hectic 2025/26 season.
Nemtajela is set to join Kabelo Kgositsile and Tshepo Mashiloane among the club’s new recruits.
