Keagan Dolly's agency SSG has opened up on the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs midfielder joining TS Galaxy.

Dolly has been without a club since leaving Chiefs at the end of June this year, after the club did not exercise an option on his contract.

He came close to signing with SuperSport United during the off-season, after he passed his medical, with a deal agreed in principle.

However, the 31-year-old's proposed move fell through, after Matsatsantsa decided to sign Vincent Pule instead, who spent four years with coach Gavin Hunt at Bidvest Wits.

After the Bafana Bafana midfielder was given a chance to train with SuperSport, this website exclusively reported that the former Amakhosi jersey number 10 also came close to leaving South African soil for Israel, but with the Gaza war not slowing down, that window of opportunity also closed.

Following a second spell training with Hunt's charges for over a month while looking for opportunities, Dolly has eventually been unveiled by The Rockets on Monday afternoon. 

Speaking to this publication fresh from signing with the Mpumalanga-based side, SSG insisted that the Westbury-born star has not reached his twilight yet and still has ambitions in the game.

"Everybody at the agency wishes 'Keags' the best of luck with his new club. It's great to see him looking forward to the next assignment,' a representative at SSG said. 

"We're sure it's going to be one he will enjoy and one he will have success with. The quality in Dolly has never left the boot, Keagan still has big aspirations and ambitions.

"We will give him all the support we have given him over the years to make his ambitions realized," added the official.

KickOff.com can also reveal that Dolly has signed a one-year contract (remainder of the season) with an option to renew for a further campaign.
