Malesela guides Gallants to first league win
Marumo Gallants FC collected their first win of the DStv Premiership season after seeing TS Galaxy 1-0 at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The departure of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo to Orlando Pirates saw Gallants coach Dan Malesela hand a start to Sizwe Mdlinzo, as Galaxy started Ivorian Djakaridja Traore following their goalless draw with Richards Bay FC.

Galaxy didn't have coach Sead Ramovic on the bench for this clash and were up against their former mentor Malesela, who famously led them to the Nedbank Cup crown in 2019.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa were keen to make their presence felt and broke the deadlock seven minutes to halftime when Sede Dion turned home a delivery from Katlego Otladisa.
A trio of substitutions from the Rockets following the break came with Bernard Parker on for Orebotse Mongae, Bathusi Aubaas in for Lindokuhle Mbatha and Kamogelo Sebelebele for Mere.
Galaxy looked for all intends and purposes to draw level in the way of more firepower from the bench in Sibusiso Vilakazi and Xola Mlambo.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa meanwhile remained tight and compact all round and thus walked away with the points and their first win of the season under the return of coach Malesela.
The win took Gallants up to 14th position, while Rockets have slipped to 13th after extending their winless streak to six matches.
