Ligue 1 match Paris Saint-Germain v Brest

PSG made a single change from their 1-1 draw with St. Etienne, as Diallo replaced Thilo Kehrer at centre-back.

Brest made two changes from their 2-0 victory over Nice, as Herelle was replaced by Duverne at centre-back and Philippoteaux was in for Mounie on the wing, which allowed Honorat to play striker.

In the sixth minute, Brest hit for the first time on the counter down the left flank, before a switch to the far side of the box allowed Faivre to take a touch and hit a shot towards the top corner - only denied by the outstretched palm of the flying goalkeeper.

PSG took the lead in the 16th minute. The corner was taken to Marquinhos, who put his header off of the base of the post. With the goalkeeper out of position and Moise Kean in a perfect position to take advantage, he stabbed the rebound home.

In the 28th minute, Gueye hit a long shot from distance with vicious swerve, almost wrong-footing Larsonneur. Seemingly over-anticipating the shot, the goalkeeper had moved too much to his near post, with his extended foot the only thing keeping the ball from crossing the line.

A chance for Brest then went begging after Faivre's pass into the penalty area for Cardona was met by an extremely heavy touch - which allowed Navas to scramble off his line and make a sliding challenge to clear the ball.

The Parisians doubled their lead in the 81st minute. Mbappe managed to take on and beat two defenders inside the penalty area before pulling a square pass back to the penalty spot for Icardi, who finished easily.

Sarabia got amongst the goals just two minutes later. A pass through the heart of midfield found Icardi, who used incredible intelligence to flick a backheel pass for Sarabia. From there, it was an easy path into the penalty area for the midfielder, who slotted his finish home coolly to wrap up the win.
