Neymar got Paris Saint Germain out of jail with an astounding effort for a 1-0 win in Ligue 1 against RC Strasbourg on Saturday evening.
The champions saw the return of Neymar Junior following a drawn-out summer with the club over his future, while Keylor Navas made his debut after arriving from Real Madrid.
Strasbourg started strongly in the opening couple of minutes, as Navas dived to his right to thwart the ideas of Ludovic Ajorque and Mohamed Simakan respectively.
Angel Di Maria broke on the counter exactly on the half-hour mark to combine with Neymar, who fired next to the left-hand post.
PSG looked tirelessly for the opener close to halftime, but the visiting side's resistance quickly pulled down their request.
Neymar attempted to inspire his side a lot more in the second half, but the away side just as in the first spell proved difficult to clamp down.
PSG then turned to the bench and introduced their first change in the 63rd minute, as Mauro Icardi replaced Eric Choupo-Moting for his debut.
Their struggles however continued in front of goal as the Argentine hitman made little impact on his first run out in Ligue 1.
Neymar decided to then take matters into his own hands in added time as the Brazilian lashed home an outrageous overhead kick to bag all points for the hosts
