Paris Saint-Germain boss discusses differences between Kylian Mbappe & Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed what he thinks Neymar needs in order to perform at his best level, and claimed that 2018 FIFA World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe is so competitive he even counts the goals he scores in training.

The former Borussia Dortmund tactician recently extended his stay with the Parisian giants after signing a one-year extension, which will see him stay with the Ligue 1 champions until June 2021.

In the wake of recent media reports suggesting the Brazilian and Frenchman had suffered a fallout, Tuchel touched on some of the differences and similarities between the two players.

"They are similar and different," Tuchel said, as per Eurosport.

"Their quality is beyond question. In addition, they have a huge self-confidence. You can feel that. You need that, too, in order to always be able to decide games. This should not be mixed up with arrogance.

"Neymar is an incredibly warm person who cannot perform without a close bond to the coach and his teammates without feeling really happy.

"He has antennas for every discord in the cabin, for any kind of criticismhe takes everything to heart.

"Kylian is extremely focused, confident and independent for his ageextreme! He even counts his training goals! At some point, he even presented himself a shirt with the inscription '100 goals in training'. I then asked him: 'Which goals do you even count? Even those on small goals?' He answered then: 'No, only the big (goals), where a goalkeeper is in it.'

"He is a real No. 9because you want to have someone who completes the thing and for whom this is important. A super nice guy, very confidenthe knows what he needs and what he wants."

Mbappe and Neymar are both the subject of reported interest from LaLiga giants Real Madrid, while the latter has also been linked with a return to FC Barcelona.
