Big Man: Leaving Chiefs was simple

By KickOff Reporter

In this week's edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to TS Galaxy FC's number one supporter, "Big Man," about his relationship with the Mpumalanga province club.

What is your name?

"I share the same first name with Nelson Mandela; my real name is Nelson Thwaya not Thwala. I'm based in KwaMhlanga, in the Mpumalanga province, which is just 50 kilometers away from Pretoria. I'm a husband, father, and grandfather, and I have my own small business to survive."

Which club did you support before TS Galaxy FC?

"I used to support Kaizer Chiefs. People always say it's not easy to leave Chiefs, but for me, it was simple. When you divorce your wife, you eventually move on and forget about her. I had to leave Chiefs when Mr. Sukazi brought us our own club. You can't love your wife and your girlfriend at the same time."

Are you happy with the management of TS Galaxy?

"At the moment, I can't complain about how the club is run. Our president is doing his best to keep the players happy. Remember, the team is being run without a sponsor, and we will always support Sukazi wherever we can as the community of KwaNdebele and Mpumalanga."

Are you happy with the new coach, Adnan Beganovic?

"The departure of Saed Ramovic proves that TS Galaxy is admired even abroad; they notice the good work the club is doing. So, let's give the new coach a chance. With enough time, he will be able to achieve what Ramovic did."

Are you satisfied with the players?

"We have the ability to revive players' careers; we know how to develop talent at TS Galaxy FC. The fact that our players are signed by big clubs like Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Sundowns shows the quality we're producing. I'm glad to see we've signed Keagan Dolly. He is still young; in Europe, 39-year-olds are still playing."

Who would you like the club to sign?

"We are lacking in offense. With Samir Nurkovic gone, let's hope Dolly will add something to our attack. We also need one sweeper at the back."

What is your message to the team?

"We are 100% behind you guys. I never miss a single game of TS Galaxy. I'm always at the stadium, whether it's in Cape Town or KZN… I'm there."
