He resigned citing personal reasons after Christmas of 2024 and the club quickly replaced him with Thabo September and also recruited Mabhudi Khenyeza as assistant coach.

After failing to help the Chilli Boys secure a spot in next season's MTN8, the young coaching duo is now expected to be relieved of their duties, and a new coach has already been identified to lead the side come 2025/26.

According to a source close to Chippa, the club has already held talks with two foreign mentors, with an unnamed Belgian coach favoured for the hotseat in the Friendly City next term.

“Chippa United are talking to a few coaches, including two foreign coaches. They are expected to make a big announcement soon with major changes in their technical team (expected),” said the source.

Chippa only managed eight wins in the Betway Premiership this season, scoring 22 goals in the process.
