Following the resignation of Sead Ramovic, who had not won a game in the current season, new TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic has revealed what he changed after their first victory.

The Rockets finally picked up their first win of the campaign after thrashing Sekhukhune United 3-1 in the Betway Premiership on Tuesday.

Beganovic was handed the reins as head coach after Ramovic resigned during a post-match TV interview following a 1-1 draw against Stellenbosch FC prior to the FIFA break.

Galaxy appeared a completely different side against Babina Noko, as goals by Dzenan Zajmovic, Victor Letsoalo and an own goal by Tresor Yamba gave them a comfortable win, with the opposition only finding a consolation goal in the last minute.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina native has revealed the reason why they could not get results his predecessor.

"When Ramovic was here in the last six games, we played very well and then something was missing. We played amazing games, we had possession, but we could not score. Something was missing," Beganovic said in an interview on 947's MSW.

"It was an amazing opportunity to have 15 days to work with the squad and we had an opportunity to play a friendly against JDR [Stars], to try something new. Before the game [against Sekhukhune], I went up to see how the team looks in warm-up and I said to myself the team looks amazing, with the desire, with fire in the eyes, they want to win.

"I [told them] 'I want you to enjoy tonight', I repeated the same thing. After I signed my contract and came to training for the first time [as head coach], I said, 'Guys, if you want to improve, I want to see my players coming to training with smiles and when we finish training, I want to see again smiles, that's how we can have success'.

"Because if you don't enjoy what we do, it's not enough to reach something more," the 41-year-old added.

The win took Galaxy off the foot of the Betway Premiership table, up to 13th.

They will remain in Polokwane as they lock horns with Polokwane City on Sunday.
