Experienced TS Galaxy attacker Bernard Parker has been lauded after making a sensational scoring return against former side Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium.

Parker joined Galaxy after 11 years at Chiefs and awkwardly found himself up against his former employers on Wednesday in the 2-2 draw at FNB Stadium.

The 36-year-old came on as early as the half-hour mark replacing Lefa Hlongwane and within three minutes had already tested Bruce Bvuma with a goalward effort before getting the equaliser just moments later.

It was the former Bafana Bafana international's first goal for the club in his fifth appearance.

"Parker has trained well and is an absolute role model in every space and step of what he is doing.

"I'm really happy to have him in my team and hopefully he will score more goals," said his coach Sead Ramovic while giving his assessment of the season that has been to date.

"Twelve points after 11 games is okay but of course it is a huge step that we have to take to improve and we will, but it takes time.

"We cannot be [like] Sundowns after one year because it takes time, and we also have a lot of young players in our squad.

"It is not easy to get to the top but is also our goal.

"We have set our goals and would like to be in the top eight and this is still our goal.

"The season is still long. We will and we have to improve.

"I'm sure that with the character that we have in our team we will improve even more.

"This is always a process, and you learn from your mistakes, and we will," says Ramovic.
