TS Galaxy forward Bernard Parker is anticipating an emotional outing when he returns to the FNB Stadium on Wednesday for the first time since departing Kaizer Chiefs.

Former Kaizer Chiefs captain Bernard Parker is set to return to the FNB Stadium for the first time since leaving the club last season when TS Galaxy take on the Amakhosi in DStv Premiership action on Wednesday.

Prior to joining Galaxy, Parker spent 11 seasons at Naturena and scored 62 times in 359 appearances for the club, winning four major trophies including two league crowns.

"The feeling isn't something yet but I'm sure it will sink in when I put foot at the FNB Stadium," he told the Rockets' media team in the build-up to Wednesday's encounter.

"It's the first time that I am feeling the feeling that I am feeling, and I don't know how to describe it. I don't know how I will be on the day, but I am looking forward to it. I hope on the day that it will be a warm feeling."

The 36-year-old added,  "I wouldn't say its an anxious or nervous feeling... I don't know, but it is a good feeling that I am feeling already and to play against my former team will be a more of a feeling that will trigger the emotions.

"I hope that I will receive a warm reception, a welcoming back that is a positive reception. I hope to get that because of what I did there, I did a lot there in the past 11 years, so I would like and I am anticipating a welcoming feeling."

Parker is yet to open his account for TS Galaxy this season but was lightheartedly mum on whether or not he would celebrate if he found the back of the net against his former employers.

"I don't know, we will see on the day," he said.
