Nurkovic sends Chiefs reminders
Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic's goals at TS Galaxy remain a painful reminder to Kaizer Chiefs as their misfiring forwards continue battling for goals.
Nurkovic went 17 months without playing football after Chiefs chose not to retain his services but has returned to prove just how useful a striker he remains.

Sunday was Nurkovic's 10th league appearance for Galaxy, and he delivered his fifth league goal despite only playing 11 minutes in the 3-1 win over Golden Arrows.
This means the 31-year-old has scored with every match that he features in at a rate of a goal in every 78 minutes.
Nurkovic has now scored in three consecutive league games and has four in the last five league games.
He has scored another goal in the cup games bringing his tally to date to six.
These are figures that Chiefs can only dream of from the forward man.
This season Chiefs' front men have battled for goals with Christian Saile Basomboli on three (17 league games), Ranga Chivaviro has two goals from 11 league games, Ashley Du Preez one goal in 11 league games while Colombian striker Efmamjjasond Gonzalez is yet to score in seven league games.
Last season, the Chiefs forward line had Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana on seven goals from 17 league appearances, but he was deemed as being not of the quality that the club needed and was offloaded.
Prior to playing his first game for Galaxy on October 1, 2023 – Nurkovic's last official minutes were in the colours of Chiefs on May 8, 2022, against Mamelodi Sundowns when he came on for Lazarous Kambole.

Nurkovic scored 14 goals (plus six assists) in his first season at Chiefs, but contract issues and injuries restricted him to six and one in his second and third seasons before being released.
His unfair dismissal case created by his short stay at Royal AM is now at CAS after FIFA ruled that he be paid the full worth of his two-year contract.
