Sead Ramovic has become the latest coach to touch triple numbers while in a Betway Premiership club job.

Ramovic reached 100 games on Sunday as TS Galaxy forced their way into the Carling Knockout quarterfinals after a 1-0 extra time win over Chippa United with Dzenan Zajmovic on target.

That win came after a difficult opening start to the new season that has had Galaxy losing four games in a row.

Considering that the Rockets also lost their last match of last season, it had been five consecutive defeats – the first time this has ever happened under the Serbian-German since he took over three years ago.

The 45-year-old now joins Manqoba Mngqithi, Gavin Hunt, Lehlohonolo Seema, Steve Barker, John Maduka, Brandon Truter, Eric Tinkler, Clinton Larsen and Dan Malesela in the list of coaches currently in Betway Premiership jobs on triple numbers.

While yet to win silverware, Ramovic has improved Galaxy, who finished in the Top Eight last season and reached the Carling Knockout final.

Ramovic has had it torrid losing his best players and in the off-season had Fiacre Ntwari, Higor Vidal, Lehlohonolo Mojela, Pogiso Sanoka and Samir Nurkovic all leaving.

Last season, it was Given Msimango, Bathusi Aubaas, Melusi Buthelezi, Tshegofatso Nyama and Djakaridja Junior Traore all heading for the exit.

"Of course, it is not easy if every season you lose half of our team and don't invest and get players who didn't play so much at their teams," says Ramovic.

"The players that we get in need some time to adapt to our high intensity style of play.

"It takes time, like we did in the last three seasons when you see that we sold a total of 15 players, which is a great achievement.

"It speaks of our great work.

"We have started slow and not the start that we wanted to have, but we will continue training, educating and inspiring every player in our club to achieve their potential.

"The season is long, and we are confident in how they train.

"This team has the ability not to stay long in this negativity zone where we are now, and we don't fear.

"We still have the winning mentality.

"I think for every player who gets to the national team from our club is a cup because it is a beautiful thing.

"I would like to keep our best players, but reality is that we cannot do it, so maybe in a couple of years when the club gets a sponsor, maybe by then, we can keep our best players and win something," he adds.
