Rulani Mokwena could have Sead Ramovic as his biggest rival in his new job following the latest developments in Morocco.

Mokwena has taken over as head coach at Wydad Casablanca following his exit from Mamelodi Sundowns after one full season in charge as the sole man in charge.

The task at Wydad is to win the league, which will come with the ticket back to the CAF Champions League, while there is the business of the FIFA Club World Cup to take care of come June 2025.

City rivals Raja Casablanca – who won the league and cup double under Josef Zinnbauer last season – have Ramovic as their prime target.

Various publications in Morocco have reported that the 45-year-old is due to take over at Raja after Zinnbauer met the termination conditions of his contract ahead of his move to the Gulf Region.

The reports state that Ramovic is now expected to join Raja during their pre-season camp in Tunisia, where Mohamed Madihi and Hisham Abu Sharwan have been overseeing proceedings.

Ramovic has been at TS Galaxy since October 2021 and has of late developed a tense affair with Mokwena, which is still bubbling.
