DStv Premiership club TS Galaxy will now have to settle their dispute with Bosnia-Herzegovina defender Igor Makitan at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Makitan signed for Tim Sukazi's club at the beginning of the 2021/22 season from FK Krupa along with fellow countryman and goalkeeper Vasilije Kolak.

Their signings were made just months before Serbian-Germany Sead Ramovic took over from Owen da Gama.

Kolak remains at Galaxy, but Makitan has since left having only played the opening 13 games of the 2021/22 season.

The towering defender started every match but was red carded 20 minutes into his last appearance against Marumo Gallants in December 2021.

Since then, the 29-year-old never played with club boss Tim Sukazi then confirming during pre-season that Makitan was likely to leave after having not featured in a single game in the 2022/23 season.

This website can now confirm that the club and Makitan have a date at CAS lined up for January 18, 2024.
