Technical team job for respected PSL legend
TS Galaxy have found value in tapping into the experience gained from Vuyo Mere's 22-year playing career.
Mere has called time on his playing career that has stood the test of time from when he broke through as a teenager during the 2001/02 season at Hellenic.

Such was the longevity of Mere's playing career that it went all the way past his 40th birthday in March.
From starting out as teammates with Thabo Mngomeni, Craig Rosslee and Robert Nauseb, Mere ended playing with some that were not even born when he broke through into the professional ranks.
His career took him from Hellenic to trials at Sheffield United and while it didn't work out in England, he was then able to have a career that took him to Mamelodi Sundowns, Platinum Stars, Moroka Swallows, Bidvest Wits and Swallows again, before arriving at Galaxy.
Along the way, he won trophies and has 10 Bafana Bafana caps to his name, including playing at the AFCON finals after having represented the country at U17 and U20 levels.
Galaxy have now not hesitated in bringing Mere into the technical team as he doubles up as Bernard Parker's assistant in the DStv Diski Challenge while also shadowing as an assistant in the first team.

The former fullback was named as one of Sead Ramovic's three assistants, along with Mustafa Kodro and Adnan Beganovic, in the midweek defeat to SuperSport United.
Being a figure that the players can relate to, Mere has already been key in the dressing room since last season when he was always in the matchday squad despite not playing much.
