Nurkovic’s contract pursuit
Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic will return to pre-season training with TS Galaxy in pursuit of another deal after leaving an impression last term.
Nurkovic went up to 10 goals last season after joining in September as replacement for Ivorian striker Djakaridja Traore.

Those double figures on the scoring charts then prompted Galaxy to activate the option of a further year, whose dates will count from July 1, 2024 until June 30, 2025.
However, the 32-year-old is keen on elongating his stay in South Africa beyond that with his eyes on applying for permanent residence.
Nurkovic has been in South Africa for five years, which is the prerequisite for filing an application for papers which will make him eligible to play as a 'local'.
He made his entrance via Kaizer Chiefs, where he spent three years, before switching to Royal AM, where his stay has turned into a contractual dispute which is now at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Nurkovic signed for Royal AM as of May 2022 just before the expiry of his contact at Chiefs, where the deadline of activating the option of another year on his contract was not met.
