Pirates set to raid rivals Sundowns for defender

Soweto giants Orlando Pirates look set to raid rivals Mamelodi Sundowns for versatile defender Mosa Lebusa to beef up their squad to compete on all fronts next season.

Lebusa's contract at Sundowns is believed to expire at the end of June with the Buccaneers eyeing adding the Bafana Bafana international to Jose Riveiro's side in a shrewd transfer move.

The Spanish tactician has already added goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi to bolster their goalkeeping department for next season.

"Pirates are going to make announcements about two big-name players that will be joining the team in the new season," a source within the club informs KickOff.

"This includes a defender and midfielder that played for Mamelodi Sundowns,"said the source.

Pirates have also been linked with experienced midfielder Andile Jali who also parted ways with the Brazilians.

The aforementioned duo now look set to switch allegiances as Pirates aim to close the gap the the formidable Brazilians.
