Al Ahly are reportedly compiling a shortlist of potential coaches to select from amid the uncertainty surrounding Marcel Koller and Pitso Mosimane's name is said to have been in the mix.
According to reports from the continent, the Red Devils are contenting the possibility of letting go of Koller. The Swiss current deal will expire at the end of the next season.
Now, with Koller reportedly set to leave, it is said that the race to become the next coach of the 12-time CAF Champions League winners is heating up, with an interesting shortlist of candidates taking shape.

It has been reported that the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Mosimane, was also amongst the names mentioned for the job. However, Mwatan.news indicates that the notion of rehiring him is dismissed by many within the club, making it entirely off the table.
Jingles, as Mosimane is affectionately known, spent almost two years with the Egyptian Premier League powerhouse, securing several titles including two Champions League trophies.

According to the reports, Ahly are casting a broad net in their search, and are contemplating former Zamalek coach Jose Gomes, currently at Saudi club Al-Fateh, to take over the reins ,should Koller eventually leave.
Ahly will face off against Masandawana in the Champions League semi-finals over two legs, with reports suggesting that the results of these two fixtures could be the ultimate factor in Koller’s future with the African champions.
