MC Alger responds to CAF request after Bucs scuffle

MC Alger have released a statement after receiving a letter from CAF's Disciplinary Committee for the scuffle after the clash against Orlando Pirates.

Alger's Champions League campaign came to an end on Wednesday following a goalless draw at Orlando Stadium.

The scenes after the full-time whistle did not look good, as Alger officials were seen clashing with officials at the stadium and members of Pirates' staff.

The Algerian club have now revealed they have been contacted by CAF to explain their side of the situation.

Statement:

Algeria MC received a letter from the Disciplinary Committee of the African Football Federation (CAF), regarding the events that occurred after the end of the encounter of Orlando Pirates with South Africa for the CAF quarter final, in which Algeria MC states its total rejection of all forms of violence, and always adheres to the principles of sportsmanship, and integrity, Fair play, which solidifies the club's values and its ancient history, as for what has been reported in the official reports on events following the match, the club assures that it adheres to defend the right of the team by all available legal means.

This confirms the Algeria MC's full commitment to cooperate with the Disciplinary Committee in the mentioned issue.
