A key factor that contributed massively to Orlando Pirates progressing to the CAF Champions League semi-finals, after beating MC Alger 1-0 on aggregate, has been revealed.
Pirates, yet to taste defeat in this season's Champions League, are now 180 minutes away from a potential final, with many locals hoping that will be against Mamelodi Sundowns.
This, after Miguel Cardoso's men defeated Esperance of Tunisia, also 1-0 on aggregate to set up a semi-final date against Egyptian juggernaut Al Ahly.

"The boys did well. From here we are heading to the final. Making use of their scoring opportunities and not conceding at the back is what took the boys to the semis," Mpho Makola reveals, speaking to KickOff.com.
"Not conceding both at home and away did wonders for them. Pirates deserve to be in the semi-final.
"From the beginning of the tournament, Pirates were underdogs. People were looking at Mamelodi Sundowns as our only hope, and I think it worked in Pirates's favour.
"Only now teams are starting to take them seriously, but it's too late. And the credit for this great run should be given to the players.
"It's not easy waiting at the airport for seven hours and still performing like they've been doing. But despite all those things, this group of players managed to take care of their bodies.
"At the end of the day, football is 11 versus 11. It's about who wants it the most," he said.

'Bibo' says The Buccaneers' chances of lifting the trophy are higher than most people's expectations.
"Their strong point is the defence. Defensively they are very solid. They have never lost a match so far.
"You don't need to play beautiful football in the Champions League to get the job done."
