Mamkhize: It is what is for now

As former Royal AM owner Shauwn Mkhize is known to often say: "my world, my rules", the extravagant businesswoman has hinted at how she plans to navigate the next chapter of her life. Here's a look!

The Story

It has been a difficult and controversial season for Royal AM, as the club was placed under curatorship by the South African Revenue Service after the owner ran into tax issues.

Royal AM players haven’t kicked a ball since December 2024, with many now free to join new teams as free agents.

It’s noted that some players may attempt to recover money owed to them due to outstanding salaries and other payments. However, this may now be difficult following the KwaZulu-Natal side’s expulsion.

Despite this, MaMkhize appears ready to put the Royal AM dilemma behind her.

In a video posted after Royal AM’s expulsion was confirmed by the PSL, the business tycoon took to Instagram, sharing a video of herself riding on a moving Tractor-Loader-Backhoe (TLB).

The song "Kulungile" by the late gospel star Sfiso Ncwane can be heard playing, while the post was captioned: "It is what is for now" alongside football emojis.

While the post is cryptic, it does appear that MaMkhize will now be turning her attention to her other ventures, possibly in construction.
