Conversely, Masandawana overcame coach Miguel Cardoso's former team, Esperance de Tunis, with a 1-0 result over two legs in the quarter-finals.

While Marcel Koller thought he would have all his players available to face the one-time Champions League winners, it has been reported that the Swiss coach will have to manage without four crucial players.
According to El-ahly.com, the Red Devils could miss Achraf Dari, Achraf Bencharki, Yahya Attiat Allah, and Nejc Gradisar due to their inability to secure entry visas to South Africa.
All four players featured in both quarter-final matches against Al Hilal.

Reports suggest that the quartet failed to finalize their paperwork in Egypt while preparing for the match, leading to their exclusion from the squad that will travel to Mzansi.
