Following Ghanaian teenager Felix Afena-Gyan's sensational brace for AS Roma on Sunday, Jose Mourinho has gifted the 18-year-old with a pair of sneakers worth at least R14k.
Mourinho is not exactly famous for his softhearted side, as the Portuguese coach has built a reputation of being a feisty character and generally a strict manager.

However, it may come as a shock to many after Mourinho delivered on his promise to buy the youngster his desired Balenciaga sneakers following his match-winning performance against Genoa, per GiveMeSport.
Afena-Gyan scored an absolute stunner of a second-goal with a long-range strike from well outside the box.
"I had promised to buy Felix the boots he really likes, which are really expensive, they cost €800 (R14.2k), so he ran over and told me not to forget!" said the 58-year-old manager.
"Tomorrow morning, the first thing I do is buy him the boots."
"What impressed me the most was his cool head in front of goal. If he is not in terms of technique fantastic, he does have a strong mentality.
"You get these kids now who think they know everything, but he is humble and you can sense he just absorbs all this information from everyone around him. That's fantastic."
