Supporters Forum - Kaizer Chiefs' Vuyo GP

In this edition of the Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Amakhosi fanatic Vuyo Ndunge on his long-standing love affair with Kaizer Chiefs, dating back to the late 80s.

Name of supporter…

"Vuyo Ndunge. I'm from Orlando West, not far from Orlando Stadium. I'm not working I'm a handyman who specializes in painting. I also do plumbing but I'm not perfect I'm still learning from the guy I'm working with. How do I get to games? I hitch-hike and sometimes my uncle who is a Buccaneer supports me financially, and my team also give me complimentary tickets."

Club supported…

"I grew up supporting iKhosi, my father used to support Pirates but I chose Chiefs ."

How long supported?

"Since 1989 in the days of Ace Ntsoelengoe, Teenage Dladla and 'Skara Akathintwa' [Scara Thindwa]. Up until today, I'm still one of the biggest and most loyal fans of Kaizer Chiefs."

Are you happy with the bosses?

"I was happy before when Jessica [Motaung] was in this position that is currently occupied by Bobby now. I'm happy with our chairman though because Kaizer Motaung played football and Kaizer knows football. I'm fine with Bobby but I cannot give him 100% because we always sign out-of-contract players. Our management will always wait until a player loses his form and becomes a free agent and that thing doesn't work in football. Sundowns are so successful because if they want a player they buy him now while he is still in a red hot form. At the moment I will give Bobby 50%."

Are you happy with the coach?

"I'm happy with the coach, remember we had a lot of new players who didn't know the culture of the team. We also promoted a few boys from the DDC. We need to support Zwane because what he is cooking it's actually happening."

Are you happy with the players?

"Some of them are on and off like Keagan Dolly his form is disappointing, he can't even run, he lacks pace, his confidence has dropped, and this guy he played overseas, he's got experience. But anyway, I will keep on supporting him until he gets it right."

Who do you want them to sign?

"If we can strengthen our defence because Zitha Kwinika is full of mistakes, and Edmilson Dove cost us points recently against Marumo Gallants."

Your message to the team…

"To the coach, please keep on doing the great work, and make us proud as supporters and we will support him all the way, I know he is still building with young boys.

"To the team, we love you boys, and we will support you all the way."
