A Kaizer Chiefs legend has encouraged the club to pursue the signature of a Mamelodi Sundowns star whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season.
The versatile midfielder is in the last few months of his current deal with Sundowns, which officially expires at the end of June.
Importantly, Sundowns have the option to trigger an extension but with a midfield attack with options that include Marcelo Allende, Neo Maema, Teboho Mokoena and the returning Sipho Mbule, it would be a surprise if Sundowns opt against renewing the 29-year-old's contract.

Speaking on SoccerZone, former Chiefs and Pirates star turned analyst Jabu Mahlangu said he believed Mkhulise had not played as often as he should at Sundowns and that Chiefs would benefit from the midfielder's services.
"He (Mkhulise) is a player I like very much, although I feel he could have done better. I mean, he arrived (promoted) at Sundowns in the 2018/19 season.
"He played 103 matches, scored six goals and assisted four. His best season was the following one where he played 22 games, scored four goals and assisted ones. In the CAF Champions League, he played 35 games, scored four goals and assisted one.
"So he is a player that I think since 2018, he should have played more games. At Sundowns, there is a lot of quality, but I like him.
"Maybe he can go help there in Naturena (Kaizer Chiefs) because things are not going well there.
"With the experience that he has from the Champions League and the experience of winning trophies."
