Owen da Gama’s squad leaves for Maceio, Brazil this evening for a friendly international against that country’s Under-23 team in preparation for the Rio Olympics in August.
The 22-man squad is scheduled to depart from O.R Tambo International Airport at 22h10. They will travel to Sao Paulo overnight and then connect to Maceio City in the state of Alagaos the following day.
Lebogang Mothiba, Lebogang Phiri and Kgosietsile Ntlhe who ply their trade in Europe will join the rest of the Under-23 national team in Brazil tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Luthando Sixhaso has been ruled out due to a shoulder strain he sustained during training. He will be replaced by Steve Hoffman from Vasco Da Gama.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 18h30 in Brazil on Sunday, 27 March (SA time – 23H30 Sunday night).
