Roberto Martinez: There is no war with Real Madrid over Eden Hazard

Hazard's tough time in the Spanish capital continued after he picked up his 11th injury since he joined the club two years ago.

Despite his injury troubles with the club, Martinez says there is no issue with Los Blancos as they both want back on the field.

"We are working in the same direction as Real Madrid," Martinez told reporters, as per Goal.

"There is a great relationship between our medical services. I assure Madrid and their fans that we only seek the best for Eden. The rehabilitation process has begun.

"The rumour and speculation in the media should be a thing of the past.

"We are in a situation in which the medical vision of the experts is that there will be no surgery. There is no division, there is no war, and we are all trying to find the best solution."

Since joining Los Blancos from Chelsea in 2019, the Belgian winger has racked up 36 appearances along with four goals and seven assists.
