Mayo’s striker partner pursuing new opportunities after City departure

Cameroonian forward Bertrand Mani's next move is already being worked after putting in his effort playing as a partner to the DStv Premiership's joint top scorer Khanyisa Mayo.

Mani joined late 2022 from Cameroon where he was amongst the league's top scorers in the 2022 season playing for Colombe Sport.

The 26-year-old scored on debut for City but couldn't deliver further goals through his settling period and has now left due to foreign quota issues.

"It was a mutual separation with the option of exercising a further two years not being activated," says Mani's representative Mario Atakligan.

"He was here at Cape Town City but unfortunately, he couldn't stay longer but we remain grateful to John Comitis for the opportunity.

"This is a player who can still do a job in the PSL and was evidenced by the work that he put in while playing for City which helped other players score goals.

"We are now considering other options both locally and elsewhere because his goals were there to see when he played in Cameroon before he came here," says Atakligan.
