Ethiopian striker, Abubeker Nassir could land a dream contract with Mamelodi Sundowns after impressing the club's technical team during his trial.

Nasir arrived in the country last week for an assessment with the Brazilians and was part of the club's training camp in Rustenburg.

According to news reaching snl24.com/kickoff, the Ethiopian international has done well to win a contract with Sundowns and could sign with the club before the window closes shut this evening.

"The boy has made a huge impression. Sundowns are currently engaged in a meeting to discuss the possibility of signing him," said the source close to Sundowns.

"There is also the possibility of signing him now and loaning him back to his club in Ethiopia until the end of the season.

Nasir was also linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs before surfacing at Chloorkop last week.

"The boy always wanted to play for Mamelodi Sundowns," the source added.

Meanwhile midfielder, Gaston Sirino is set to remain with Sundowns until the end of the season. Sirino has been linked with an exit for several months.
