Malawi 0-1 Senegal
Heavyweights Senegal became the latest to secure a spot at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals following a 1-0 win over Malawi on Tuesday.
The Teranga Lions, who were champions of the tournament-proper in 2022, joins Burkina Faso on the road to Morocco next year from Group L.
For Malawi, their fate has been sealed courtesy of four successive losses and basement positioning as the revered Sadio Mane struck at the death and separated matters.
South Sudan 1-2 Uganda
Uganda have qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-1 win over South Sudan out in a Group K qualifying contest.
In a busy opening quarter-hour, the Cranes struck first after the exciting Allan Okello got hold of Denis Omedi who made no mistake but Yohanna Juma soon levelled it up.
The tie remained on an equal base for a large spell until a slice of good fortune late in the second half watched Alfred Leku find his own net and handed the Cranes maximum points.
Sierra Leone 1-0 Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast were unable to bag early qualification to the finals following a shock 1-0 defeat to Sierra Leone in a Group G showdown.
It was tight right throughout and a draw seemed on the cards until Amadou Bakayoko pulled up five minutes before the end to get the maximum points and stunned the tournament holders.
Sudan 2-0 Ghana
Ghana's disastrous qualification campaign for the finals continued and went down 2-0 to Sudan in a Group F encounter in Khartoum.
The Black Stars have yet to win from the four matches played to date and sit on two points as well as in third spot in the group standings.
Sudan, though, boosted their progression chances having missed the edition in the Ivory Coast with second half goals from Ahmed Hamed Mohamed and Yousif Yagoub seeing off Ghana.
Niger 0-1 Angola
Angola continued their perfect run of form and also bagged a ticket to Morocco next year with a 1-0 victory over Niger in the other action in Group F.
It's a fourth successive win for the Palancas Negras, with the winner coming very early in the first minute to be exact from Zini following Bastos' assist.
Niger, though, languish at the bottom of the pile – having earned just a single point and no victory recorded as of yet.
