OFFICIAL: Pitso's replacement at Al Ahli confirmed

Saudi Arabian giants Al Ahli have now officially confirmed their permanent replacement for Pitso Mosimane at the club's helm.

The Jeddah outfit has named former RB Salzburg boss Matthias Jaissle as their newest manager in a three-year deal.

The German's appointment follows Mosimane's resignation last month, when he left the side after guiding them to promotion to the Saudi Pro League.

Jaissle's appointment comes after the 35-year-old was sacked by the Austrian giants earlier on Friday for entering into negotiations with a new club while under contract.

Considered one of the best young managers in Europe, the German tactician enjoyed a successful speel at his now-former club, winning two Austrian Bundesliga titles and one domestic cup since his appointment in 2021.

He now walks into a team boasting new signings such as former Liverpool talisman Roberto Firmino, ex-Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, and Riyad Mahrez, who was officially announced as their newest player on Friday afternoon after leaving Manchester City.
