An African giant is reportedly searching for a new head coach for the upcoming season, and Pitso Mosimane is believed to be among the leading candidates.
Egyptian Premier League club Zamalek FC are said to have been in pursuit of a coach, with rumours that their current manager Jose Peseiro could be dismissed soon.
Peseiro joined Zamalek in February this year on an 18-month contract, but things have not unfolded as anticipated, with the team currently in third place in the league standings.

The reported call for Peseiro's removal came after the team's exit from the CAF Confederation Cup at the hands of the South African side Stellenbosch FC. They lost 1-0 on aggregate in the quarterfinals.
Now, Rabaharabi.com reports that the three-time CAF Champions League winner, Pitso Mosimane, is among the leading candidates to take over the reins at The White Knight.
Mosimane was linked with the same position prior to the Portuguese manager's appointment when the club dismissed Swiss coach Christian Gross, but that potential agreement did not come to life.
Although reports have indicated that the former Nigeria national team coach is on his way out, a Zamalek board member, Hussein El-Sayed, has recently denied the rumors.
"It is not true what is being reported about Peseiro leaving Zamalek after the recent defeat to Stellenbosch," El-Sayed said per Sport.ElwatanNews.Com.

"Peseiro will continue to lead the team as normal, and there is absolutely no intention of him leaving despite the recent defeat."
Among other coaches linked to Zamalek is Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro, who will be leaving the Betway Premiership giants at the end of the season.
It remains to be seen whether the experienced Mosimane will ultimately take over the reins at The White Knight should they decide to dismiss the embattled Peseiro.
