Ahly legend: If Sundowns score a late goal...

A former Al Ahly star has cautioned the Red Devils ahead of the second leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Al Ahly and Miguel Cardoso's team are set to clash at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday evening, a match that promises to be very exciting given the quality of both teams.

Building up to the second leg match, Rayan expressed his concerns about the outcome of the first leg, which was played in South Africa and ended in a scoreless draw at the Loftus Stadium.

Given the fact that if the Brazilians score first in Egypt they will have high chances of winning the tie, the Red Devils legend is worried that his ex-club will be under heavy pressure to progress to the final.

Although Rayan firmly beleives that Marcel Koller’s team can beat Masandawana, he cautioned about how things can change if his old side allows the visitors to score.

"The result of the first leg is worrying because Sundowns is a team that knows how to score from half-chances, and if they score a late goal, Al Ahly will be in a very difficult position," Rayan said as quoted by Algomhor.com.

"Kohler will not take risks and will likely use the same players, especially since the team performed well in the first leg.

"He will seek to decide the match in regular time without resorting to extra time," he added.

"Psychological factors make a huge difference in matches like this, and El Khatib is always close to the players, and that's important before any big match."
