A former Orlando Pirates midfielder has backed the Betway Premiership side to eliminate the high-flying Pyramids FC and make the CAF Champions League final.
Pirates swept aside Algerian side MC Alger to move on to the semi-finals, while the Egyptian Premier League giants overcame Moroccan club AS FAR Rabat to advance to this stage.
The first leg of the semi-finals ended in a scoreless tie at the FNB Stadium in South Africa last Saturday, a match that ignited discussions due to its contentious nature.

Pyramids, who displayed their prowess and determination against the Buccaneers in Soweto, netted two goals, both of which were disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
The New Cairo-based club has been in excellent form across all competitions, however, the Betway Premiership side remains the sole team that has not been defeated in this season’s Champions League.
So far, Jose Riveiro's star-studded team has triumphed over Al Ahly, CR Belouizdad, and MC Alger in away games. Consequently, former Pirates midfielder Joseph Kamwendo is confident that the trend of winning away matches will persist in Egypt against Pyramids.
"They [Orlando Pirates] are unbeaten until today," Kamwendo told Pan Africa Football.

"If you check, you will find out that they won away against a team from Algeria. It shows they are a good team that can go anywhere and get a result.
"They missed a big opportunity. They could have at least scored one or two goals and taken it to Egypt. It won’t be easy, but they can do it."
Pyramids will host the Sea Robbers for the return leg at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo on Friday evening.
