Fadlu reveals Stellies' weaknesses ahead of CAFCC clash

Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids has highlighted Stellenbosch's weaknesses ahead of their forthcoming second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.

The Tanzanian giants approach the second leg with a one-goal lead on aggregate, having narrowly defeated Stellies 1-0 in the first leg of the tie at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.

Davids' team managed to control the match at home against a resilient team from the Cape Winelands, yet they were unable to score more than a single goal against Oscarine Masuluke.

Simba, led by the South African mentor, have already arrived in Mzansi and are getting ready for the crucial match set for Sunday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

While aware of the strengths that Stellenbosch possesses, Davids has identified several weaknesses he can rely on to outsmart Steve Barker's side.

"We have laid the foundation, but the house isn’t built yet,” Davids said per The Guardian.

"We are going into the second leg with only one objective, get an early goal and finish the job. We will not play defensively. We will not play with fear. We are not going there to settle for a draw. We want to win.

"We know Stellenbosch is a youthful team, very fast, but they struggle when pressed intensely," added the former Orlando Pirates tactician.

"They crack under pressure, and that’s what we want to capitalize on. We are not giving them time to organize we are going there to attack."

Simba hold an advantage heading into the second leg. A victory or draw will be enough for them to set a possible final against Algerian CS Constantine or Moroccan RS Berkane, who are leading 4-0 on aggregate.
