KickOff.com has been told that Venezuelan midfielder Edson Castillo's escape options from Kaizer Chiefs are being explored.
Castillo still has another year on his contract at Chiefs, plus an optional year, so whatever happens in the next transfer window will involve Chiefs.

Ahead of his 30th birthday this week, Castillo has found himself with plenty reasons to be concerned after playing only four games from start to finish since the turn of the New Year.
Five of his last seven appearances have come from the bench, dominated by low minutes of 9, 7, 8, and 1, putting him at risk of losing his place for the 2024 Copa America in USA from June 20 – July 14.
This website was on a cross-Atlantic call to South America to talk about Castillo, who hasn't scored in 15 games.
"I have been told by those close to the dealings that possibilities are being pursued even though he still has a running contract at Chiefs," says the contact.
"Castillo is a South American and you should know their mentality when they are unhappy.
"Once things are not going their way or there is a possibility of better money or bigger opportunity, they don't hesitate to find ways of making it happen.
"If it means forcing it, so be it.
"Chiefs will get to feel it once there is an opportunity on the table for Castillo because the feeling is that he didn't come to Chiefs to sit on the bench.

"There are various options being explored for Castillo, which include marketing himself at the Copa America if he gets into the team and goes on to play.
"In the Middle East, there has always been something for him, but it will now have to be better than the Chiefs deal for it to be pushed," the contact adds.
