A presidential candidate for one of Europe's biggest clubs has claimed he will appoint Jose Mourinho as manager if he emerges victorious in the election.
Mourinho has been without a job since he was sacked by AS Roma in January. Since then, the former Chelsea boss continues to be the subject of increasing speculation ahead of next season.

Moreover, he has been linked with a number of jobs, including with national teams such as Canada, a move to the Saudi Pro League, his former club Chelsea, as well as a return to Portugal with giants Benfica and Sporting CP.
With four months since his last job having now passed, a new opportunity could be on the horizon for the "Special One" as a Turkish football executive having seemingly confirmed talks with the Portuguese tactician.
Fenerbahce presidential candidate Aziz Yildrim has announced that he will appoint Mourinho as head coach if he wins the election.

"I met Mourinho face to face last week. We had a two-hour meeting," Yildrim, who was president of the club for 20 years between 1998 and 2018, told TRT Sport.
"I told him, 'Fenerbahce needs you and you need Fenerbahce. There will be three presidential candidates and whichever one wins, come to Fenerbahce. Don't come because I want you to.'
"I told him that he could make the same breakthrough at Fenerbahce that he started at Porto in 2003.
"He welcomed it with pleasure. The negotiations between my friends and his agents continue.
"Most probably, if we win [the presidential election], I will bring Mourinho to Fenerbahce. We don't want the fans to be sad anymore.
"He told us that he watched the Konyaspor match live and expressed what he saw there. We were also pleased with this."
