Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson has shared his thoughts on comparisons between Pitso Mosimane and current Al Ahly boss Marcel Koller.
Nearly three years have passed since Mosimane stepped down from his role as Al Ahly manager during the 2021/22 season.

However, the South African remains far from forgotten in Egypt, as he was recently linked with the Zamalek SC job, which has since been taken by former Nigeria head coach José Peseiro.
Mosimane's strong reputation in Egypt is understandable, as he boasts an impressive record of six trophies in 102 games as Al Ahly boss, including back-to-back CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup titles.
One of those who were part of Mosimane's coaching staff during his spell in Cairo was Johnson, and the 66-year-old has now shared his view after being asked to compare his compatriot's reign at Al Ahly with that of current manager Koller.
In an exclusive interview with Masrawy, Johnson stated: "Every coach has their own era. Koller is performing well at the moment, and Mosimane did a fantastic job during his time with the team."
As for Johnson, the tactician has been without a job since July 2024 after leaving his role as the caretaker coach of Amakhosi.
His reign at Naturena lasted only 22 games, where he won six, drew seven, and lost nine matches at the helm, as per Transfermarkt.
Chiefs finished 10th in the league last season, their worst finish in more than two decades.
