After Manchester United confirmed plans to build a new 100 000 capacity stadium, it has been revealed where Kaizer Chiefs' home venue would rank among the biggest in the world.
Man United confirmed that plans are underway to build a new Old Trafford Stadium, in a project reportedly worth £2 billion (R47 billion), which will be able to accommodate 100, 000 supporters.

The Red Devils have projected that they expect to finish the project in five years and after their confirmation, publications such as Pubity Sport made a list of top 10 stadiums in the world, ranked on capacity, upon completion of the new Old Trafford.
Should United complete their new stadium, they will make a huge jump out of the top 10 in terms of capacity in the world and it would be considered the second-largest in the world, adding about 16 000 capacity to the current Old Trafford stadium, which can only take 74 000.
The new arena will be built from scratch opposite the current Theatre of Dreams.
Barcelona's Camp Nou would still retain their number one spot as the largest stadium in the world, able to take a capacity crowd of 105 000.
FNB Stadium, currently the home of Chiefs, have been ranked third in the world in terms of capacity, able to carry a maximum of 92 797 fans.
The Soweto Derby between Amakhosi and Orlando Pirates, which traditionally takes place at the Soccer City, could arguably be the biggest match attended in the world in terms of capacity, as after the fake ticket saga in February, about 110 000 fans crammed into the venue to witness Bucs edge their rivals 1-0 in stoppage time.

Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu features at number five with a capacity crowd of 85 000, while the only other African stadium to make the list is the Democratic Republic of Congo's Stade des Martyrs, home to AS Vita Club and Motema Pembe.
It has a capacity of 80 000, listed at number 10.
