Sundowns earlier sealed their places in the knockout stage of the CAF Champions League with two games to spare, while Wydad also confirmed their passage after beating USM Alger last Friday.
Though both teams have qualified, Mosimane has stressed that there is still a lot at stake when they meet at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday afternoon (15h00).
"Games against Wydad are always a derby – those games are never easy games, as much as we have [both] qualified, but you will see on Saturday that it's never easy to play them," said Mosimane.
"There is a lot of pride and bragging rights at stake, but more importantly is who finishes first in the group, and that's is not about just finishing first because you want to, it's to avoid playing the number-ones in other groups – the Esperances and [TP] Mazembes.
"So that's what we're going to fight for, and basically it's like fighting to qualify – it is at that level."
The Brazilians need only a draw to finish top of the group, and can take comfort in knowing that they have never lost to WAC in their own backyard in four previous meetings in Tshwane.
