Marumo Gallants made it two wins in two games in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages after overcoming FC St Eloi Lupopo 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
After a dominant opening day win last Sunday, the visiting team's men at the helm Raymond Mdaka named just one change in Tshepo Gumede for Lucky Mohomi.
Marumo fancied their chances in the opening exchanges and pulled wide as well as to the edge of the six-yard area to unsettle the Congolese boys and pose problems over all.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa were close to the breakthrough on 20 minutes, as Mpho Mvelase charged in at the back-post to head in following a floated delivery but his effort was comfortably parried.
Mvelase did made amends for his earlier indiscretion four minutes later when he met a curling ball from a corner-kick and headed in the far corner to put his side in the lead.
The South Africans did go on to a second over three minutes to halftime after Ranga Chivaviro bombed in space and finished off Celimpilo Ngema's cross following a swift counter.
Lupopo looked to stage a comeback and introduced Emmanuel Lobota for Josue Baso before Miche Mika made way for Mick Harvy Ossette.
Gallants started to then encounter difficulty to perverse their intensity and dominance, as Lupopo piled forward and looked to turn the tie around.
A rash clearance from goalkeeper Washington Arubi presented the host a chance, but Semiou Tchatakora went over after launching on the half-volley.
Gallants regained momentum following the rather quiet spell and saw Chivaviro hit the upright with a fierce shot from a smart angle.
It was wave and wave of attack by the home team and pinned the boys from the DStv Premiership in their own half with little to now penetration in possession.
Lupopo did set-up an exciting final eight minutes when a smart free-kick outside the area by substitute Patou Kabangu found the top corner and beat Arubi hands down.
Bahlabane Ba Ntwa didn't lose focus but remained calm and secured the win to maintain their perfect start to the tournament in Group A.
