"We had to kick some chairs," Ncikazi revealed post-match on the scene at half-time.
"We had to break some desks because I thought the mentality that the team brought in the first half was not what we expected.
"Which we warned them about, that if we take things lightly, as we did, we cannot start matches like that, it's unlike us.
"Sometimes you won't have an opportunity to come back like what happened today, so a good start is important.
"We need to always have a positive start on the front foot, and I don't think today we did that.
"Luckily we could come back, but in other matches, we won't have such an opportunity."
Pirates will next host Royal Leopards in their next CAF match at the Orlando Stadium on March 13.
