Goals from Ntsikelelo Nyauza and Kabelo Dlamini in a dominant win over JS Saoura over the weekend saw the Soweto giants qualify for the knockout stages of the continental tournament.
Ramokgadi himself lifted the CAF Champions League and Super Cup in the mid-nineties.
"It will be tough but let's see who Pirates are drawn against in the quarterfinals," Ramokgadi says.
"Remember there's still a semi-final and final to be played.
"Judging by the weekend's hard-fought win, as long as we don't draw a team from North Africa we are safe.
"Even though they are not convincing, Pirates are doing great in Africa while not necessarily playing well, are getting results.
"If they happen to lift this cup, they will be trendsetters. They were the first South African team to win the Champions League and now they could become the first to win the Confed."
