In October, Reggie 'Mapensela' Ndlovu, a commentator who's worked on the biggest DStv Premiership games, announced that he was starring in a theatre show named 'A star I never was'.
When you listen to the one and only Ndlovu commentate, you can always be entertained each moment with his knack for summarising events.
The IsiZulu commentator has been a regular figure at football matches and now we have the chance to see the man use his linguistic skills to its potential in a one man show.
The show has been excelling with Ndlovu claiming that he has received standing ovations in multiple shows.
In a recent post on Instagram, Zakhele Lepasa, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Happy Jele, Fortune Makaringe were spotted in attendance at the theatre show.
South African football has seen many magical stars who failed to live up to the promise shown as a teenager or players who ended up losing it all due to various reasons and this play tackles that topic in the most imaginative way possible.
