Solomons paints Chiefs’ dressing room picture

Kaizer Chiefs speed king Dillan Solomons has taken the punches on his face in standing up to the collapse that has sunk the club into the bottom half.

Chiefs have been awful under caretaker coach Cavin Johnson, with only a single win in their last 10 games.

The form book also shows that they are currently the worst team in the league based on the last five games.

It is bad and the mood at Naturena on Thursday gave evidence of that.

"Everybody has opinions," says Solomons about what has been happening in the dressing room.

"Whether you don't have opinions or someone else has an opinion, you have to be able to take what the senior players are giving you.

"That is what football is about.

"If you have something to say, you have to say it.

"We can't be keeping emotions in and then it is bubbling up for you.

"So, we are just trying to work on solutions at the moment and hopefully the positive vibes will come and show on the field on Saturday.

"Players obviously have opinions and that is okay because everybody has different opinions at the end of the day," he says while responding to the current squad being labelled failures.

"Everybody has been referred to as a failure once in their life.

"It [means] nothing when you feel like you are giving the best of everything that you have.

"It is okay if some people call you a failure even if you feel you are giving your best.

"You can use that as fire for next season, maybe.

"But there has always been a time in your life when you have been called a failure.

"From failure becomes success," responds Solomons to a question from this publication.
